18 Days and Counting

The Boys on 4/19/08 LJA company Picnic

Well we are counting the days until we get to meet our new additions to our family. Chase and Carter are tired of waiting for "Their" babies to come out and I really think they are ready to have ther non- pregnant mommy back. The one who can ride bikes, play in the sand box and especially the one that can run after them.

I went to the Doctor on Tuesday, April 30, 2008 and the Non-Stress Test came out great. They said the babies are responding great! Then over to the doctor's office for an ultrasound. Baby A- Lily Kate weight was 4lbs. 14ozs. and Baby B- Michael Edmund was 5Lbs. 3 ozs. So it looks like we have big babies on our hands. The doctor thinks they will gain about 1/2 lb. a week so we have about 3 weeks left so it looks like we can have at least 2 6 lb. babies. Both babies moved from the breech position to being transverse. She is on the bottom with her head to the right and he is on top with his head to the left. So a C-section is our only option at this point.

We are trying to get the last few things in the nursery( A big thanks to my mom "Rita" she comes over frequently and has washed all of the baby clothes, blankets etc. She has folded, organized diapers and more) done and our bags packed just in case something happens before May 20th. I have almost completed the "How to guide" for my mom and Eddie. They will be taking care of the boys while I am in the hospital. Dr. McGuirk said that he was going to admit me on Tuesday, May 20th and I could go home on Saturday, May 24th. So that means 4 days without Mom in charge and I am having a few problems with that.

Eddie my dear beloved husband has been AWESOME through the past 341/2 weeks. He has endured 12 weeks of a wife vomiting, sleeping with 8 or so pillows and me waking every 2 or so hours to pee. Recently he has been going to work extra early so that he can make it home before 5:30-6:00 so that he can prepare dinner(or plan where we will be eating out at), bathe the boys and put the boys to sleep for 8:30. Baby you are AWESOME!! We are so lucky to have you.

My next Doctors appointment is on Tuesday, May 6th and we will see what is happening.
